PAMIS - Bereavement and Loss

A two day course facilitated by the PAMIS Bereavement and Loss Project Team on Wednesday 9th and Wednesday 16th August, 2017

 
Course participants will:

• gain an understanding of how bereavement and loss affects people with PMLD
• gain an understandinghttp://www.sad.scot.nhs.uk/umbraco/#tab91 of how bereavement and loss affects family carers who have cared for a person with PMLD
• feel more confident in working with people who have experienced bereavement and loss
• have more knowledge of the theories of bereavement and loss
• develop practical skills to work with people who have experienced bereavement and loss

 

The course is highly participative and will have a mix of tutor input and experiential learning. It will also have opportunities for participants to be involved in reflective practice that can be used for CPD purposes – i.e.
SVQ, HNC, PRTL, CLPLO and post-grad. (12 hours CPD time)

Course evaluation will be undertaken with the use of pre and post-course questionnaires.
