SUPPORT AROUND DEATH

Creating a Supportive Culture and Gaining Confidence in Dealing with Bereavement at Work

National Wellbeing Week 1-7 September

25/07/25

As part of National Wellbeing Week 2025, this session is open to professionals across health, social care, social work, local government and the third sector — including those in non-clinical, administrative and support roles.

This session will explore key principles of grief and bereavement, helping attendees gain confidence in supporting others who have experienced loss — whether that be patients, clients, family members, or colleagues.

“What do I say to someone who is bereaved?” — This is a common and often daunting question. The session aims to provide:

  • An introduction to grief and bereavement
  • Practical tips on how to support others while looking after your own wellbeing
  • Signposting to further resources and support
  • A safe and sensitive space to explore this essential topic
