We are pleased to share that the Bereavement Education Programme at NHS Education for Scotland has been featured in the latest edition of the GPN (General Practice Nursing) Journal.
The article highlights how the death of a colleague can be a deeply distressing experience, particularly in healthcare teams where strong professional and personal relationships often develop. Staff may experience shock, sadness, and a range of emotions, and it is important that they feel supported during such a difficult time. To help with this, NHS Education for Scotland (NES) has developed resources to support health and social care staff in understanding grief, supporting one another, and navigating the impact of losing a colleague in the workplace.
