Summer Edition of the GPN Journal

20/08/25

We are proud to share that the Bereavement Education Programme has contributed to the Summer Edition of the General Practice Nurse Journal, with an article exploring professional grief in primary care.

Our piece reflects on the unique challenges faced by nurses and the crucial role they play in supporting patients, families – and themselves – through bereavement. By opening up conversations about grief in primary care, we aim to raise awareness, provide practical insight, and highlight the importance of compassionate support at every level.

Being featured in the GPN Journal, a national platform for sharing best practice and professional experiences, ensures that these perspectives reach colleagues across the country. We hope our contribution helps to inspire greater confidence and understanding in how we respond to loss within primary care.
