Essentials of Learning Disability - Grief and bereavement
It’s important to ensure people with learning disabilities have the right support when they experience loss, bereavement and grief. The NES Learning Disabilities Team have developed a Turas Learn module which provides a short introduction to the key elements of this work.
The module includes a short animation which outlines top tips in supporting people with learning disabilities during times when they experience bereavement or loss.
This module is part of a set of resources called 'Essentials of Learning Disabilities', designed to support the broadest workforce including volunteers and carers when they work with people with learning disabilities. You might find additional modules helpful including 'Communication' and 'What is a learning disability?', but you are welcome to access all modules in the series.
